1lb. Lean minced beef
-
2oz. Beef dripping (fat or butter or margarine)

2oz Flour
-
½ Cup stock

½ Onion
-
Salt and pepper to taste (take the saltiness of the Worcestershire sauce into account)
-
Worcestershire sauce
-
2 Eggs
-
½ Cup double cream
-
½ Pint brown sauce
-
Vegetables for garnishing
Instruction:
-
Chop onion finely.
-
Beat eggs well.
-
Melt the butter, add the flour and cook for 1 minute.

Add the stock and cook for 3 minutes whilst stirring to prevent lumps.
-
Add all the other ingredients and place the mixture in a greased ring mould.
-
Cover with greased greaseproof paper and stand in a saucepan of boiling water so that the water comes halfway up the sides of the mould.
-
Boil gently with the lid on for 1 hour.
-
Turn onto a hot dish and garnish with the vegetables.
-
Pour over a little bit of brown sauce or gravy.
-
Serve hot.
