Ingredients:
2 Cups Sugar
½ Cup Condensed Milk
2 Tablespoons Butter
3 Level Tablespoons Cocoa or 2 ozs. Chocolate
½ Cup Hot Water
3 ozs. Walnuts
½ Vanilla
1 Pinch of Salt
Instruction:
Melt butter in the saucepan.
Add sugar, milk and cocoa or chocolate dissolved in hot water, and stir gently until sugar has been dissolved, then boil to 245° F.
Remove from the heat, let stand until cool, add salt, walnuts and flavoring.
Beat with a wooden spoon and as soon as it begins to thicken pour immediately into a buttered pan and mark into squares.
