Mock Steaks

This is a slightly more fancy version of a hamburger and very suitable to serve to guests.

Ingredients:

Instruction:

  1. Mix the minced meat with parsley, seasoning and mixed herbs to taste.

  2. Separate 1 egg and set white aside.

  3. Beat yolk with the other egg and use to bind the meat mixture.

  4. Divide the meat into portions and shape into shapes to look like rather large fillet steaks.

  5. Dredge with oil on all sides.

  6. Fry in heated butter or oil until well browned on both sides.

  7. Drain and keep hot.

  8. Peel and slice the onions.

  9. Coat with flour, dip into beaten white of egg, then into flour again and fry until golden and crisp.

  10. Serve as a garnish.

  11. Serve the steaks with brown sauce or gravy.

This is a good alternative for hamburgers.
